Best time of the year to get in touch with nature. You will enjoy the mild weather and the ever-changing landscape as the many shades of green of spring, create a fabulous backdrop for every place you visit. Discover them by doing new activities such as canyoning and rafting.
Spring is the best season for birders. In Gaspésie, migration begins in early May and continues until late June. Several species of birds can be observed, including gannets, cormorants, gulls, guillemots and murres. Ducks, geese, perching birds and some northern species that have not yet reached their summer destination, can also be seen.
Starting in May, different species of whales can be sighted off the coast at Percé, Bonaventure Island and in the waters near Forillon Park. By travelling along the coast, you might see the powerful spray of these mammals as they surface for oxygen. If you wish to get a better view, you can take a whale watching cruise.
