An establishment's classification is determined using a weighted evaluation system that looks at its facilities and services, while taking account of the specific features of each class of establishment. The levels, from 1 to 5 stars or suns, reflect the establishment's comfort and services. The Conseil de Développement du Camping au Québec (CDCQ) is responsible for applying the rating program for camping establishments. This program rates both the quality of the establishment's facilities and its offerings in terms of services and activities. As such, campgrounds are rated on a scale of 1 to 5 stars and are evaluated every other year. The Québec Outfitters federation (QOF) is responsible for the application of the classification program for outfitters. The objective of the program is to classify outfitters solely according to the quality of the infrastructure of every unit. Outfitters are rated on a scale of 0 to 5 and evaluated every four years. Rates
The price of each unit vary according to the number of people, the season, the type of plan and the characteristics of the unit. This web site published the maximum price of the less expensive unit and the maximum price of the most expensive unit for two people. The price of Bed and Breakfast establishments includes breakfast. Published prices do not includes taxes.
Prices are given as guidelines only. It is always preferable to contact the establishment directly to find out prices in effect before making your reservations. Since July 2008, the Gaspésie region has collected a 3% a night tax on lodging (this tax is dedicated exclusively to the creation of a regional fund devoted to the advertising and development of tourism in the region).
