In operation since 1985, Aqua-Mer Thalassothérapie was the first thalassotherapy centre in North America. Providing a unique holiday-health concept, Aqua-Mer offers different packages, from the return to fitness cure (to reenergize) to one-day package (to experience thalassotherapy). Thalassotherapy uses the virtues of seawater, algae, mud, and a marine climate for therapeutic pruposes. Bringing together exercices on the beach, walking in the mountains, a healty way of eating, and professional treatments, Aqua-Mer Thalassothérapie offers marine cures specifically adapted to individual needs. The seawater pumped from the Chaleur Bay ensures the use of quality water (taken from ground swells) that is always moving, rich in trace elements and negative ions, and a source of energy. For over 20 years, this thalassotherapy centre offers marine cures for total rejuvenation. For three consecutive hours of treatments per day, you may choose a thermomassage bath with heated sea water, algae wraps, or therapeutic massages. This historic Victorian manor is located on a seventeen-acre estate overlooking the Chaleur Bay.
