New: Dog presence in other Québec national parks.
As of May 17, 2019, dogs will be allowed in all Québec national parks, except in the Anticosti and Île-Bonaventure-et-du-Rocher-Percé national parks. However, dogs will only be authorized in certain places. The areas where dogs are allowed vary across parks, depending on the specificities of the territory. Consult the list of places where dogs are authorized in each park during summer on the website www.sepaq.com/animaux.

This national park gives visitors the opportunity to explore an exceptional mountain environment, the habitat of a herd of woodland caribou, the last representatives of this species south of the St. Lawrence River. A mecca for hikers, it holds a diversity of trails, including the one on Mont Jacques-Cartier, Québec’s second highest summit. If you’re looking for an outing on the water, Lac Cascapedia beckons. And in winter, skiing and snowshoeing hold pride of place. Extend your stay at a campground, shelter, cottage or at the Auberge Gîte du Mont-Albert.
