Description
This centre (archives, antiques, handicrafts) tells the tale of the first road (named Kempt Road in honour of the governor at the time) that connected the Chaleur Bay sector to the Atlantic provinces and the rest of Canada.
Follow the Kempt Road trail and make your way up to abandoned villages; plunge into history and discover the village cemetery, which is now a park commemorating the region’s pioneers.
