Several roadside rest areas welcome you, from Pointe-à-la-Frégate to Saint-Yvon, via l’Anse aux Canons and the site of the Pénélope. The centre of this village houses a wharf where a commercial and recreational fishery still take place, and where you can talk with fishermen who will enjoy sharing their many experiences.
On the wharf, the Café du Havre offers local products and handicrafts, and at the Parc des références, discover a giant cod, as well as a soldier statue which honours the memory of veterans.
At the eastern end of the village, in Saint-Yvon, the Torpille shop offers coffee, local handicrafts, and tranquil views of the sea near the rock where a torpedo ended its trajectory in September 1942. A striking event in the Battle of the St. Lawrence, which has since been part of the collective memory.
