Established in the mid-19th century, this welcoming and peaceful village was named after its founder, Abbot Charles-Godefroy Fournier. The area’s main industry is fishing, particularly for lobster.
Come and admire the sea and visit the modern fishing harbour, the roadside rest area and the campground (which includes wilderness campsites) at the foot of the cliffs by the sea. Enjoy the Internet café and the handicraft shop at Place du Quai. West of the village, a red-sand beach offers lovely views towards the east of the Shigawake cliff and the village of Saint-Godefroi.
