What’s the Weather Like in Gaspésie in the Summer?

The weather in Gaspésie is similar to the rest of Québec.

To give you an idea of what that means, compare the average temperatures in Gaspésie in July and August (in Celsius and Fahrenheit) to those of several cities in the province of Québec using the table below:

While Gaspésie does not generally experience high humidity or extreme heat in the summer, this region is sunny and hot in July and August.

Just keep in mind that Gaspésie is a maritime region, so it will be cooler and breezier by the water than in the forest. To enjoy your sea excursions, evening walks on the docks or mountain hikes (on peaks over 1000 metres high), we recommend you pack a warm sweater and a windbreaker.

Will it be sunny in Gaspésie in early August? This is impossible to predict, since the weather in Québec is very changeable. However, no matter what, there is always something to do in Gaspésie! After all, there is no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing!
