Snowmobiling in Gaspésie

Ride Your Sled on Spectacular Trails

Explore over 3000 km of snowmobile trails in Gaspésie while sea and mountain scenery unfolds before your eyes. Given that the region often receives more snowfall than elsewhere in Québec, you can enjoy excellent trail conditions throughout the season.

One of the region’s most popular rides is the Grand Tour of Gaspésie, a 1152-km journey along Trans-Québec trail #5 (TQ5) that can be completed in five or six days. Other shorter rides combine segments of TQ5 with regional trails such as trail #595 or trail #597. Along the way, you can admire the snow-covered Chic-Chocs, Percé Rock, lighthouses, wind turbines and breathtaking views of the St. Lawrence. Off-trail snowmobiling is also possible in certain areas, but you should always proceed with caution and preferably travel with a certified guide.

Along the trails, villages and snowmobile clubhouses welcome snowmobilers for a meal or a comfortable overnight stay. The trail network in Gaspésie exists thanks to the tireless efforts of about 20 volunteer snowmobile clubs throughout the region.
