Snowmobiling in Gaspésie
Explore Gaspésie by snowmobile on spectacular trails
Ride over 3,000 km of snowmobile trails in Gaspésie and enjoy landscapes where mountains meet the sea. The snowfall, often more generous than elsewhere in Quebec, ensures excellent conditions throughout the season.
Among the well-known routes is the Grand Tour of the Peninsula, a 1,152 km journey along the TQ-5 that can be completed in five to six days. Other circuits, lasting one to four days, combine the TQ-5 with regional trails such as 595 and 597. Along the way, you’ll pass snow-covered Chic-Chocs, Percé Rock, lighthouses, wind turbines, and breathtaking views of the St. Lawrence. Off-trail snowmobiling is also practiced in certain areas, but always with caution and preferably with a certified guide.
Along the routes, villages and rest stops welcome snowmobilers for a meal or a comfortable overnight stay. This trail network exists thanks to the indispensable work of about twenty volunteer clubs.

Please note that, for safety reasons, the Sainte-Madeleine-de-la-Rivière-Madeleine bridge located on trail TQ-5 will be closed for the 2025 season. An alternative has been put in place by the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility to address this closure. A free shuttle service for snowmobilers will be available on the detour route established as soon as the trails in the area open, operating daily from 6 a.m. to midnight.
Please note: the trail between La Cache and Murdochville will be closed for the 2025 season due to safety concerns on two essential bridges that will require major work.
