International Garden Festival

The International Garden Festival is the largest contemporary garden festival in North America.

Since its founding in 2000, nearly 200 gardens have been presented in situ in Grand-Métis, as well as at off-site locations across Canada and abroad. The Festival takes place on a site adjacent to the historic gardens, fostering a dialogue between history and modernity, between preservation, tradition, and innovation.

Building on the triennial thematic cycle launched in 2025, the Festival’s 27th edition will continue to explore our relationship with space and, more broadly, with the world. While Frontiers focused on issues of organizing and representing geographic space, immediately raising geopolitical concerns, this year’s theme, Mapping the Sensory, proposes an affective shift.
