Excursions Exploramer

Located along the wharf in Sainte-Anne-des-Monts, Exploramer is a science museum focused on the marine environment of the St. Lawrence. Offering an aquarium with touch pools as well as exhibitions, sea excursions, a fish-harvesting activity and the Smarter Seafood certification program, Exploramer invites visitors to discover the sea.

Sea excursions: Board the C-E Marin Exploramer and discover a plankton laboratory at sea, watch rock crab and whelk traps being hauled out of the water and participate in scientific data collection. This is a fun hands-on way to discover the fascinating world of the St. Lawrence!

Fish-harvesting activity: Put on a pair of waders and follow the guide out into the water to the fyke net. Take advantage of low tide to discover what is hidden underwater and learn about the plants and animals that live there. This experience is an opportunity to explore the shoreline of Gaspésie and discover various species caught in a fishing net.

“Dare to Taste” activity: This guided tasting activity will allow you to discover responsible seafood options offered by the St. Lawrence and taste five marine species promoted by the Smarter Seafood program.

Gift shop: To help you preserve your memories of your visit to Exploramer, the gift shop offers a wide variety of treasures you can take home as souvenirs or gifts. Filled with sea-themed souvenirs, local handicrafts and food products and a large collection of reference books on the topic of the sea, our selection is sure to please you.
