Parc municipal de la Rivière Émeraude

Chemin de la Carrière
Percé (Bridgeville), Québec G0C 2L0

The Portage River, locally known as the Rivière aux Émeraudes (Emerald River), is located in the Coin-du-Banc area, east of Percé. The river’s nickname comes from the depth and colour of the stones at the bottom, which give this waterway an emerald-green appearance.

This magnificent park is one of the trailheads for the Sentier de la Rivières trail, which stretches for 27 km through the forest all the way to L’Anse-à-Beaufils. You can admire a waterfall in the park and soak up the beauty of this site.

To get there: From Route 132 in Coin-du-Banc, take Chemin de la Carrière for about 4 km to the toll booth and parking lot. This site is not accessible to people with reduced mobility. Please note that this body of water is unsupervised.
