Lighthouse Tour

Gaspésie is home to 14 proud witnesses of its maritime history, many of which have been given a second life thanks to the efforts of passionate individuals.

True sentinels of the sea, some lighthouses and their outbuildings have been revived as museums, tourist information offices, or cottages. Each of these maritime heritage sites shares its story in unique ways. Among them, the Cap-des-Rosiers Lighthouse, standing 34 metres tall, is the highest in Canada, while the Pointe-à-la-Renommée Lighthouse—nicknamed the “travelling lighthouse”—invites visitors to discover its fascinating history.

Visit the Amis des phares du Saint-Laurent website for more information: www.routedesphares.qc.ca (in French only).
