Reford Gardens

200, route 132
Grand-Métis, Québec G0J 1Z0

The Reford Gardens (also known as the Jardins de Métis) have been amazing visitors for nearly 100 years. Recognized as one of the wonders of Québec and one of the largest gardens in North America, this open-air museum brings together history, horticultural expertise, design and inventive gastronomy. Some 3000 species and varieties of plants, including the famous Himalayan blue poppy, are found in this true plant paradise.

The International Garden Festival presents contemporary gardens designed by landscape architects, artists and architects from around the world. These original installations, both playful and educational, invite visitors to have fun while reflecting on current issues, particularly environmental ones, making this festival an ideal outing for the whole family.

To fully savour your visit, you are invited to the restaurant in Estevan Lodge as well as to the Le Bufton bistro, where Chef Frédérick Boucher will take you on a culinary adventure that celebrates the seasons of Gaspésie. Inspired by regional biodiversity, he offers dishes featuring ingredients from the surrounding gardens.

Wheelchairs and strollers are available free of charge (reservations recommended). Umbrellas are on loan in case of rain, so you can enjoy a different type of visit to the gardens during rainy weather.
