Matapédia (municipalité)

Located at the border of the Matapédia and Baie-des-Chaleurs sectors, this village offers an exceptional panorama at the confluence of the world-renowned Matapédia and Restigouche salmon rivers. Matapédia means “where the rivers meet” in the Mi’gmaq language.

Admire a magnificent view of this area from the scenic lookout and be sure to explore the new Route des Belvédères tourist route. Also, salmon fishing, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, snorkelling, birdwatching trails and swimming.
