What to do in Gaspésie in March

In March, spring break is in full swing. Families enjoy skiing, skating, sliding, snowshoeing, or visiting an outdoor activity center before heading back for a hot chocolate.

Later in the month, people look forward to the arrival of crab season and continue to enjoy winter activities, now with the added bonus of sunshine. For snowmobilers, the season lasts until mid-March. A few sugar shacks also open their doors, offering sweet maple treats.

Important Information

  • Winter hiking may involve muddy trails, snow at higher elevations, and very cold temperatures. Make sure to wear appropriate clothing.
