La Mitis
In Sainte-Flavie, stop at the Centre d’Art Marcel Gagnon where you can admire over 100 sculptures emerging from the St. Lawrence.
Be sure to also visit the magnificent Reford Gardens, which showcase some 3000 species and varieties of native and exotic plants.
La Matanie
In Matane, explore the Jardins de Doris, an oasis of green featuring rock gardens, fruit trees and shrubs. You will also want to stop at the lighthouse, which houses the tourist information bureau for this sector.
At the Port of Matane, a ferry can take you to Baie-Comeau or Godbout, in Côte-Nord. Fishing enthusiasts will be delighted to know they can fish for salmon in the Matane River, which runs through the middle of town.
La Matapédia
La Matapedia offers the opportunity to go paddling along the internationally renowned salmon fishing river of the same name.
Causapscal is another place you are likely to see salmon fishers in action right in the middle of town. Be sure to also visit the Site patrimonial de pêche Matamajaw, a fishing heritage site.
Located along Lake Matapédia, Val-Brillant is an enchanting place to admire beautiful sunsets.
