In Parc national de la Gaspésie, among the highest peaks in Eastern Canada, the highlands are home to a herd of caribou. Gaspésie also has white-tailed deer and the highest density of moose in Québec. In addition, Percé Rock and Bonaventure Island give you the opportunity to observe thousands of seabirds, including the fabulous northern gannets.

Birdwatching is a fun activity you can enjoy as of early May all the way until December for certain species. The tip of the Gaspé Peninsula is a popular birdwatching site you will not want to miss.

Whales are also fascinating to watch! Seven different species can be observed off the Forillon-Percé area, including impressive blue whales, the largest creatures on the planet. Enjoy these exceptional sights from May to October.

While travelling along the coast, you will discover numerous places where grey seals and harbour seals like to bask in the sun on long flat rocks.
