Welcome to Distillerie Mitis! Immerse yourself in the world of distilled spirits by visiting this distillery specifically designed to produce rum and gin.
Located at the gateway to the Gaspé Peninsula, our distillery is a must-visit when you first arrive in the region. As soon as you step into our boutique, you can admire our impressive copper still. Free tastings and guided tours of our facilities (including the fermentation cellar) are available to visitors depending on the season. In addition, you can now enjoy the new patio bar located on the roof of the distillery (open in the summer only). Try various cocktails made from our products along with beers from local microbreweries.
When you visit the boutique, be sure to pick up a bottle of our Mugo gin, which is made in collaboration with the Reford Gardens. Awarded a Double Gold Medal at the New York World Wine & Spirits Competition in 2019 when the distillery first opened, as well as a Gold Medal at the Canadian Artisan Spirit Competition in the “Merit in Terroir” category, Mugo gin is well worth the detour!
The distillery also makes Rhum Nordique. Fermented and aged on site, this rum won a Silver Medal at the New York World Wine & Spirits Competition in 2021.
Their latest product is Frimas, a smooth and slightly sweet vodka flavoured with sea buckthorn berries.
Other spirits made exclusively by the distillery are also available in the boutique depending on the time of the year.
Finally, you will also find a host of other products on site: tonic, cocktail syrups, local products made in collaboration with the distillery, clothing and accessories bearing the distillery logo, gift ideas and more.
