Description
June 30 to July 9, 2022
The Petite-Vallée Song Festival celebrates francophone song through an eclectic program that reflects the rich plurality of the Québec music scene. The event also makes room for the next generation by showcasing a selection of emerging singer-songwriters and interpreters through the Escales en Chanson program. For 10 days, nearly 20,000 visitors come to our village of 140 people to enjoy a unique festival experience!
In Petite-Vallée, we love singing, singer-songwriters and all those who are passionate about this artform. By the sea, about 840 km east of Montréal, warm-hearted locals have been showcasing francophone song for nearly 38 years in an effort to change people’s lives. Because this is the mission of the song festival: its creators sincerely believe that it is possible to change people’s destiny through the performing arts, the poetry of words and music, and by creating a large extended family made up of the thousands of people who come here every year to experience artistic moments that are fundamentally human on a small rocky outcrop that juts out into the St. Lawrence!
This year, the 39th edition of the festival will take place from June 30 to July 9 and will be adapted to the context of the pandemic. As usual, the festival will feature a unifying and eclectic lineup that reflects the richness of the Québec music scene.
