Through the presentation of numerous artifacts from underwater archaeological excavations made on the wreck of the French pirate frigate The Machault, the interpretive centre commemorates the last naval battle between France and Great Britain for the possession of the New France in 1760. Acadian refugees from La Petite Rochelle and Micmacs from Listuguj supported this relief expedition. A set recreates the interior of the Machault.
