Located between sea and mountains, Marsoui has evolved around these elements. Historically, fishing was abundant, which drew many anglers; however, the village’s main economic activity remains the forest industry. It is also home to commercial sugar bushes using cutting-edge technology, several lakes and rivers for sport fishing, and cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails.
With the Rendez-Vous des Arts Marsois art festival in July and Alphonse-Couturier park, which is dedicated to the arts, Marsoui aims to become one of the area’s artistic and cultural hubs. Accommodations (campground, rooms and cottages), restaurants, exhibition room and Internet café.
