The Matane River runs through this municipality, making it a popular salmon-fishing destination. Several waterways converge here, and the two covered bridges are heritage attractions worth seeing. Rue Gagnon leads to a mountain lookout offering a striking view of the town. Head south on Route 195 to reach the Réserve faunique de Matane, a wildlife reserve that is home to one of the highest concentrations of moose in Québec (33 animals per 10 km2). Wildlife observation, fishing, hunting and hiking (International Appalachian Trail).
