  • Description

The Mi’gmaq reserve of Gesgapegiag is a peaceful community with a park and wigwams located along the water. The annual pow-wow, held in July, is open to anyone interested in celebrating this community. Showcasing music, dance and traditional dress, it is an excellent opportunity to discover the Mi’gmaq culture.

Be sure to also caught lobster, at the co-op handicraft shop to buy items such as handmade baskets, jewellery and dreamcatchers; and at the wigwam-shaped church to admire its unusual architecture.

    • Population: 695 inhabitants.
