Find yourself situated at the natural boundary marking the beginning of a loop encircling the Gaspé Peninsula. Birdwatch at the Gros Ruisseau rest area located west of the village, where bank stabilization has been enhanced by the Comité ZIP (zone d’intervention prioritaire [area of prime concern]) du Sud-del’Estuaire. Nearby, the International Garden Festival invites you to visit its extramural garden. Via the promenade of Place Clément-Chouinard, wander to the beach and admire beautiful sunsets; on the wharf, meet fishermen; and in front of the church at the Place Flavie-Drapeau, enjoy the picnic area and beach access.
In the heart of the village, visit the Galerie d’art du Vieux Presbytère (art gallery), the library, and the local historical interpretive centre in the adjacent barn. The Sainte-Flavie wharf also sets the stage for Jeudis soirs Ô Quai, the Thursday evening shows performed by seven local or regional artists and groups during the summer months.
