Three national parks in Gaspésie allow dogs on a leash: Forillon, Miguasha (outdoor area), and Gaspésie National Park. Access is very limited, except at Forillon, where dogs are allowed everywhere. Wildlife reserves, the UNESCO Global Geopark, regional parks, and more than 33 trails in the region also offer great opportunities for exploring with your dog.

Activity

Around fifteen art, history, and interpretation sites welcome dogs during the summer season. Interpretive trails, gardens, lighthouses, and heritage sites offer many cultural discoveries to enjoy together. Depending on the location, activities such as fishing or water outings may also be possible.

Beach

More than 35 beaches in Gaspésie are dog-friendly. Your furry friend is also welcome on the piers, where you can fish or take a walk. By making sure your dog doesn’t drink saltwater, you can enjoy the coastline together, and even watch the sunset at the end of the day.

Your pets are allowed on the terraces of restaurants, microbreweries, and distilleries. They must be on a leash and well-behaved. You can also opt for a snack, takeout, or local products for a picnic or a meal at your chalet.
