New Richmond has multicultural roots: Mi’gmaq, Acadian, English, Scottish and Irish. This semi-rural, semi-urban outdoor vacation destination offers fishing, swimming and many other activities. Canoes, kayaks (including adapted kayaks), stand-up paddleboards (SUP) and bicycles are available for rent at Taylor’s Point Park, which also offers hiking trails, geocaching, a paved bike path, kites, a public market, the Bay Gardens, picnic areas and a campground.
You can also visit the Pin Rouge tourist resort in the winter or summer (skiing, cottages, outdoor pool, hiking, mountain biking).
