Nouvelle (municipalité)

Nouvelle is located in the heart of the Avignon RCM, at the gateway to La Baie-des-Chaleurs. Few villages can boast such a remarkable setting, with mountains, two rivers, fields and the sea all within view, not to mention a majestic forest stretching as far as the eye can see.

Nouvelle is made up of several small communities along the river of the same name, including Village Allard, Miguasha, Nouvelle-Ouest and Drapeau. With a population of farmers, fishers and forestry workers, Nouvelle’s residents have long benefited from the combined riches of the land, mountains and sea—distinctive features of La Baie-des-Chaleurs.
